📽️ Rocks and Minerals main lesson book flip-through
I talk through the content, what we worked on, and how it all came together
Here’s a quick video walk-through of my sixth grade Rocks and Minerals main lesson book, with some thoughts about the content we covered, how we set up our pages, and some of the things that were on my mind at the beginning of sixth grade.
Some of the resources I mention:
Geology for Dummies by Alecia Spooner (I’m not really a fan of the “for dummies” branding, but this was a helpful resource. It’s where I got the “3rd Rock From the Sun” page from the video.)
All About Rocks and Minerals by Anne Terry White (This was the biography resource I used. Love this book! She’s got another one called All About Our Changing Rocks, which I know I’ve read through before. It’s probably just as good.)
Earth’s Adventures by Carroll Lane Fenton (One of those old-fashioned books that just explains everything so clearly. A child could read it on their own and completely enjoy it.)
