As I was getting ready to post today, I pulled out my files and the first thing I saw was this incredible field trip photo.
What an incredible trip this was.
My school had (still has!) a regular 7th-grade sailing field trip on a historic schooner. I went on this trip when I did my very first teaching practicum, and it was incredible.
Sure, field trips are full of difficulty and sacrifice. (Ask me how much sleep I got on that boat. I’ll tell ya, not much.)
But there were some pretty incredible memories made and a huge part of that was because of the people who ran the show.
